Hello, friend! If you are here, then it’s clear that something has piqued your interest. It’s either books or my name. Whatever be the reason, a very warm welcome. 🙂
Asha here!
An alto-phobic who wants to go cliff-jumping someday. A reader who also writes. Tolstoy, Marquez, & Bukowski admirer. Someone who believes life’s got to be insane crazy to be able to survive. 😛 Also someone, who believes that the world would have been absolutely incomplete without BOOKS and DOGS! If you too agree, then we are going to be the best of friends. 😉 I am someone who is a lover of books, travels, wine, and all things fine! By profession, I am a full-time Advertising Creative Director. For you that means someone who writes and directs ads to sell products. In my free time, I love to daydream about books.
I started blogging in 2012. This blog is my baby. It was felicitated with the BEST INDIAN BOOK BLOG AWARD in mere 4 years of its existence, by biggies such as Gulzar Sahab, Gul Pang, among others on the jury. I am one of top 10 book bloggers in India and that is something that gives me the kick on odd days. I enjoy attention of 12k followers on IG, 15k followers on my blog, 50k on Amazon, and 30k (Twitter, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Whatsapp). Guess it’s safe to say that that makes me a Book Influencer. Yay!
You can visit my review policy page for information on requesting book reviews.
Guess, it’s pretty clear by now how much I love books, and that’s what you’ll mostly find here. Apart from bookish content, you’ll also find my other works such as poetry, short stories, tips on writing and blogging, travel and photo blogs. I hope you enjoy all of it.
Drop a hello or say something funny. I’d love to receive your messages(I’m a sucker for handwritten ones). Here’s where msbookthief@gmail.com.
A very warm welcome to my world. Have an awesome day 🙂
Love, Asha ❤

Points for disliking pink and favoring black. Althoooough….are you NOT wearing pink in your Gravatar profile photo?! I think you are.
Points for not favoring makeup. Let’s hope, miss hope, that you are one of the lucky ones who age gracefully and never need any.

I like writing though I haven’t taken to it completely yet, have taken to reading more, of late. Been reading some Russian authors. Fyodor Dostoevsky, in particular. Have taken a liking to swimming, of late. I enjoy cycling for long hours. Beach before sunrise is my life-giver, but I have been waking up late and not making it to the beach my then, these days. So, I go late in the night these days to spend some alone-time. Table tennis is my favorite game. I play once in a while. I love watching football, but, find no time to watch tv these days. Meeting people,I love, known and unknown: friends, family, strangers. The strangers bring a mystery with them, so they make me curious. An odd smile from a stranger is always a glee moment. A smile that I can see anywhere binds my attention. I love conversing with kids. There is something refreshing and insightful there. I have a soft corner for old women, their stories, or anything they do, or say, I find that interesting. Ice creams!! White Sauced Pasta!!! McDonald’s French Fries!! I stay away from home, so I obviously miss ghar ki roti and sabzi! I am my own agony, very little from the outside perturbs me these days. Nature is where I find my solitude and solace! 🙂
