What are you afraid of?
What’s stopping you?
Some pages are better torn off
and some meant to be burnt.
But don’t you stop me, baby,
allow me to fix you back.
♥
Walk right by my side,
I’ll heal those scars
and take away the pain.
Cast your reservations aside.
Baby, open the door,
allow me inside,
in the darkest corners of your soul,
in the deepest recesses of your mind.
Allow me to fill every nook and cranny
of your heart, with pieces of me
♥
Don’t you see
how you’re smothering me?
But I refuse to let go of you
To see you throw yourself
in the arms of despair.
Allow me to shower you
with nothing but love
♥
Allow me to take you
to the meadows of happiness,
to the valleys of hope,
where there’s no room
for anguish and regrets.
Let bygones be bygones.
Let’s turn the page.
Baby, please allow me.
Let’s write a new love-tale.

Asha Seth

That’s a beautiful poem about revival of a broken heart.
Hope, that’s what keeps life going…When a chapter in life goes wrong…. just keep visiting new pages in life maybe there is a surprise up there.

Thank you very much for your pick. This poured out on a rather sultry evening, broken from unwanted surprises. It is something you’d love someone said to you, when you were grieving.

Thanks for the well wishing! If I can put together the money at some point I will find a way to live certain times of the year in pollen free zones (if at all possible).

This is some fantastic stuff, Asha! The whole setup from the first line is that of a fresh lovely romantic tale.
If this were a movie, I’d watch it. Since this is a poem, I am just going to reread it and enjoy the essence. Hope, love and warm words for a broken soul make for a fine combination like a warm cup of tea or coffee on a rainy day! 💕

Quintessential thoughts, Advaita. 🙋 I wanted to write from the perspective of someone who can’t take rejections in love. I’d read somewhere that a teenager had given up his life because he could not endure the heartache borne out of deceit in love. It moved me. What could be done then to soothe, heal, repair such a heart? What says your brainy brain?😜

Hmmm… Thoughts on repairing a broken heart you ask? That too from my brainy brain!?! Impossible 😂
When the heart is broken, no blood goes to the brain 😜 I will quote another author’s quote that should do the job.
“There is no remedy for love, but to love more.” – Henry Thoreau

And if you even so much as allowed your mind to think of such a possibility, you’d see that’s all I really need. To make you change your mind. I wouldn’t ask a thing of you, and yet, give away everything to fix you. Only if you allow me… Ajay. 🙂

Are waah, but somewhere I have built these walls around me, I invite people close, but I don’t like them inside that wall. I repel once they are too close and attract from far…for all they want is to fix me, but they fail to understand I am alright with all my scars, I can’t see muself without them…:)

Your words have put a massive smile on my face today, as did your voice earlier, I always enjoy our chats.

Yes, yes, we’d secure ourselves in nooks no one finds and read from books excerpts that mean life, to each, and yet rejoice later in the memories we make, over caffeine or beer.
I love our tiny chats and calls too. It’s like a streak of sunshine through the rain clouds obscuring the skies. 🙂
