She was just a little girl
incapable of hatred.
She stood by the shore
for hours each day
hurling pebbles into the sea
hitting the harsh waves.
She wanted to hurt the sea
like the sea had hurt her
by prising away her father.
She cried and cried
and wanted the sea to cry too.
For hours she stood there
with no heart to return.
She was just a little girl
venting out anger
incapable of hatred.

It did. And it took some of my sanity to enter her head and read her thoughts, her struggle, to face her anguish, hidden under that beautiful face. It did!
