Sometimes, I am a writer.
Most times, just a dreamer.
Sometimes, I am a writer.
Most times, just an observer.
Sometimes, I am a writer.
Most times, just a muser.
Sometimes, I am a writer.
Most times, just a craver.
Sometimes, I am a writer.
Most times, just a reader.
Sometimes, I am a writer.
Most times, just a seeker.
Sometimes, I am a writer.
Most times, just a scribbler.
Sometimes, I am a writer.
Most times, just a loner.

in my interpretation, i see this as a representation of myself as an aspiring writer. i see the repetitions as my own impulsive writing pattern, sometimes coming through melancholic feelings.
but i can’t always call myself a writer, since i don’t know if it’s something i can do as a given task. that’s something I’ll have to put to practise to figure out.
this is a lovely composition, i find it amazing how i experienced an epiphany through this.

Oh well, I’d say write to suit yourself. It never does to try and work to fit anyone’s desire but your own.

Last line cracked it up! would have loved a positive ending, loner has some sort of negative connotation!
LikeLike
I guess, as writers, we are all loners to a certain extent. But again may be I am speaking for myself alone. The art of writing does expect us to be all by ourselves, at least when the muse kicks in. What you say, Alok??

I would think otherwise…we have so much of a reach, so we are not exactly loners. Even subconsciously we think from the audience perspective when we write – what to write, how etc – so that keeps us social.
LikeLike
Yes, I can say that could be true since you speak from experience, of course. On a certain level, I can imagine that perhaps, we may not really be loners.
