I have always wanted a reserve of my favorite writing quotes that would help me push through the tough times. And so, I started posting quotes on Twitter handle. I am glad the attempt was received well by my readers. Consequently, I have decided to build a repertoire of these quotes on the blog too under the category – Writing Inspiration
Here goes the first,
What do you think, reader? Do you think writing truly is therapy?
What other kind of quotes would you like to see posted here? Do tell.
Experiencing a writing block? Visit @badbookthief on Instagram for writing inspiration.
Happy writing till we meet next.
Until then, carpe diem! 🙂

I really enjoy reading your post. I am learning a lot about this writing thing and how to better support other therapist and clients. I have been doing some writing myself. Check out my website and one of my post at

You better believe writing is therapy! I started as a little girl writing in my diary. As an adult I call it journaling. I cannot tell you were I’d be if I didn’t have my writing! Hey visit my page at http://www.ccs1127.wordpress.com/

Oh yeah, definitely.
I wouldn’t see it so much, though I have been told by therapists about different random things I have written that it is.
Writing can be a journey. If you let it and use it as such.

Yes, writing has become a therapy for me…ever since I began blogging (accidentally, to put my photos and words in one place). Best writing comes when the mind is a peace, still and meditative. Emotions, thoughts become words.

Beautiful. The quote was awesome. Writing is therapy. I was verbally abused and manipulated by my mother and writing helped me to get through that and to heal. Writing is where I can be my real self and it truly reflects who I am and what I want to say. Writing is the best therapy there is.

Oh, Kath. My heart pained to know of your troubles. But all well now? Hmm? I’ve found writing to be more than mere therapy, like how one needs air to breathe, and more when times just go sour. How is the new year, love?

Thank you. Things are much better. I just take one day at a time and just live each day as if it were my last. That’s awesome. I believe that if I didn’t have my writing I don’t know what I would do or who I would be. I think that with my writing I have been able to inspire others and encourage them. My New Year is going well. How are you? How is the new year for you?

The new year started off on a busy note, it’s turning down by notches now, so all well. I don’t know where I’d be either without writing. So much it’s given me.

That’s awesome. I’m glad it’s been busy, but I’m also glad that it seems to be slowing down some as well. I know what you mean. It has given me much more than I can put into words.

Yes it definitely is! And I’ve often wondered as Mr. Greene does in this quote.

Of course, writing is a therapy, if you are writing something , that means you are putting feeling of thousands of people on the paper….
It is one of the best thing and best gift of to the people who have guts to put their words on paper and share it with lots of people.

It’s a release which therapy offers us, for pent-up emotions. Some even say, writing is sex. May be, that should be my quote 🙂
