I love writing at night. Somehow, the dark of the nights become the muse for my writing and the calm of the night amplifies my desire to put down words on paper. And well, I do feel much liberated of the many thoughts that plague my mind all day. So yes, I am a night-writer.
This quote from H P Lovecraft, thus, is a personal favorite.
What are your thoughts? Are you also a night writer?
Happy reading till we meet next.
Until then, carpe diem! 🙂

I think I’m a night writer too. There’s just too much going on in this train wreck brain of mine during the day.

I write at night when the emotions want to come out, but in reality, I writer when the words need to come out.

I like writing at night simply because no one is bothering me like they do during the day with phone calls, texts, emails………..

And so do I. I sometimes wonder Kath, what is it about the night times that gets us high on creativity.

I know right. I wonder that myself. Maybe it’s just the night is where we start to wind down from the day and our mind just comes alive with all kinds of ideas. I can watch a movie at night and come up with a whole story line and the characters within a matter of seconds. It’s just the craziest thing.

Haha! That sounds like so much fun. I must try that some time.

Definitely. Not sure if it’s mostly because it is the only time I get to myself, but there is definitely a calmness when writing once it’s dark out. 💕🌻~Anne

I do feel that most times. Anne. In fact, the pieces I struggle with, in the day times, how easily I perfect them at night.

Ooh nice quote! I’m definitely more content writing at night. I think one reason is because I feel calmer in general. 💜

Yes, they do. The thinking gets faster and better when the world outside has drifted to a slumber.

I love writing at night but because I’m more productive at work in the morning, I’ve been getting up early this past year. And alas, I haven’t written much since! So I’m very much with you.

Hehe! That’s me too. I can barely manage much; or well, let’s say, quality wise.
The charm of the nights make the words come so easily and naturally.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. 🙂

Ahhh, I love writing at night! I love writing during the day too, but more for practical reasons (awake, light, acceptable time to drink coffee, etc). Writing at nighttime is just magical!
