Theodor Seuss Geisel, popularly known as Dr. Seuss was a cartoonist and writer who wrote nothing less than 60 books. His children’s books got him much acclaimed fame and most of which you must surely be acquainted with in your childhood days.
Dr. Seuss invented quite some words that have found place in regular dialect, including the term ‘nerd’ that is used for a person who is exceedingly studious and socially boring. An interesting fact is that when publishing houses such as Random House and Houghton Mifflin challenged him to write a children’s classic using only 220 words, the author came up with ‘The Cat in the Hat’ that got him much-deserved recognition in children’s literature and confirmed that the genius was here to stay.
Here’s a great advice on writing from the author who filled our childhood with so many warm reading memories.
I am planning on reading some of his books the coming month. Any suggestions? Do share them in the comments section below.
Happy reading till we meet next.
Until then, carpe diem! π

I didn’t know he was a writer. I have come across many of his quotes on Twitter and social media. Really like those.
I am not much into Children’s books, but would love to try. Coraline was the only children’s book that i have read yet, as an adult.
