Writing Inspiration #22

The worst thing that can happen to anybody is giving up on a dream or ambition from the fear of rejection. And yet, as I write this down, I think of time that awaits me when my book is finally done. That’s when those damn talons of fear grip me, choking me, and there is not one way I wish to continue doing what I am after.

Is there a way to fight that demon? Because sooner or later, we may have to finally be at its door. And when the day comes, we better be prepared. Here’s a quote I came across that does momentarily help me, when I think of perhaps, the not-so-grand scheme of things in future. One never knows!

It is one by the author Robert Mckee. I stumbled across his profile when I was looking for best books on screenplay writing. His book ‘Story’ has gained quite some fame in the field of dialogue-writing and screenwriting. While I am still contemplating buying the book, here’s the quote for you.
