Writing Inspiration #28

Happy Monday, once again, readers!

What’s up with you guys? How was the weekend? We have Diwali around the corner and as you do know, festive occasions are damn fun and mad, both; which is why this is going to be a quick post.
I wish you and your family a prosperous Diwali. May your life sparkle with joy forever.

Moving on…

Today, we talk about how experience and empathy play a role in a writer’s life. What the quote has to say is not something I totally agree with. But I had to share to know what you guys think.

I believe experience always helps, no matter what. And you could sculpt as many stories and books as you like. Because every minute acts as a vestibule of some experience that could be your muse. It is your own pool of ideas, of motivation, something that won’t empty itself ever or cease to exist.

Empathy is a different thing all together. It is what keeps your readers and brings them back to you. Empathy is what makes you different from other writers; it gives your writing a voice. It distinguishes you from the lot, and that and only that can sail your ship.

Agree? No? Do share what you think.

Here’s the quote where author Nikki Giovanni shares her thought on the topic which piqued my interest.
