Real writing comes from life experiences. The good, the bad, the ugly, all of it has fodder for writing. And the more personal, the more moving an experience has been, the better the chance at grabbing your reader by the word, and having them by your side until you’ve finished telling all that you have to, until you are done showing everything there is.
Keeping crucial details behind and not leveraging them to nourish your writing will only leave you with a draft you yourself aren’t satisfied with. Something will always feel amiss. Because let’s face it, not each and every one of us might be blessed with such imaginative powers that would take the world by storm. So what are we left with if not our own emotions?
Paula Danziger has an eye-opening thought to enlighten our minds with.
What are your thoughts on this observation about writing? Do you too feel it makes a difference to write from personal experiences? Tell me all.

I completely agree. I always write about personal experiences and it comes out well. There are some sad and bitter experiences too, which I am desperate to pen. Will surely do.

Wow thanks for writing this, it reminds me to look at my life and find the inspiration, and what better box of inspiration to look at than our life experiences.

Writing from personal experiences helps others to be able to relate, let them know they are not alone in their life journey. There is hope. There is inspiration. There is a passion and purpose behind the person and their life story 😊

Yes I completely agree with you. Writing about something one has experienced blows life into one’s article and people can connect with it in a better way.

I think this is very true. It can be so difficult to allow yourself to show vulnerability through your writing. I wish I had the courage to be more open in mine.

Yes, and also write as you are moved in a moment not letting the magic escape!

I think that there is a lot of truth to this. Our own details definitely can and should affect our writing.
