How I wrote 31 Posts in 31 Days

Did you miss me?

I sure did miss you. If you were wondering where I had vanished the past couple of days; after showering you with my posts every single day for the last whole month, let me tell you, I was around, only allowing myself some slack time, after having chased myself to achieve the first goal for the year which was – 31 days. 31 posts.

Yes! I managed it. Yay! I bought me my favorite baked blueberry cheesecake and enjoyed it before returning back here. Once again, yay! I am so happy because I didn’t think I’d be able to do it. For the past couple of years, I run by a blogging schedule because I know exactly when I should have my post ready for you. But this year, an impulse got the good of me and let’s just say I wanted to test my perseverance levels and turns out I really did surprise myself.

The first couple of weeks, I had it all sorted out. I knew just what I had to post and it was tad exciting too for I found that I always had ideas popping into my head about what I should be writing about next. No matter what I was doing, the inspiration to keep writing was immense and overwhelming at times. It was only by the last week of the month that I started experiencing strained moments. Don’t get me wrong, the will to write was ever there, but I was suddenly finding myself short of ideas. But gladly, it didn’t last long. And I survived.

What kept me going, I reflect?

The constant reflux of ideas and the overpowering energy was mind-blowing of course, but what was incredibly motivating was your presence. Most of you came and stopped by every day, even shared your diligent thoughts on every single post. Some of you, I met for the first time, and the way your perspectives of things formed, helped me judge my writing in a different light altogether. It was so very stimulating. And more than once, I realised I’d be doing this for the rest of my life and yet never be bored. This was my calling, and you, reader, are my powerhouse. Quite literally!

Now that I have accomplished the goal of 31 days. 31 posts, I shall return to my blogging schedule and have a proper timeline of posts for you. I have revised the schedule a bit and will share it with you in a separate post very soon. But I’ll quickly tell you that you shall see my posts in your feed

Every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

To know what these posts will entail, you’ll have to checkout my post on my blogging schedule for 2020 (to be published soon).

I hope the first month of the year was rewarding, in some or the other way. What plans for February? Any short-term goals?

Happy writing till we meet next.

Until then, carpe diem! 🙂
