Buying gifts can be a thrilling experience if you know the right item to look for. But are you fretting about what’s the best gift for your partner who is a diehard book-lover? Chocolates or roses make them cringe, and candle-light dinners don’t impress them much? So what do you do then? It is Valentine’s and what’s Valentine’s without an over-the-board shower of crimson love?

Being a book-nerd myself, I understand this dilemma all too well. My husband, who isn’t a book-lover, suffers a toiling of a lifetime every valentine’s day to find me the right gift on the day. At times, he’s ended up with a book from a genre I never read or accessories I never wear. Other times, he takes me to a book shop so I can choose whatever I like. I can’t blame him. After all, book-nerds aren’t much into materials things; unless books, are we?.

Personally, I do not really believe in Valentine’s day because love is not about a particular day. But I do understand how some people go all out to make it an over-the-moon day for their loved one. So I thought, why not make the effort less tiresome and more lovey dovey for those who aren’t into books and yet would go to any extent to please their book-nerd partner.
