It is so true. Writing has to be done indiscreetly, just like dancing, singing, or acting. It has to come out incautiously. Keeping your guards up will never let your talent shine out the way it is supposed to. What’s more? It will always leave you feeling unsatisfied, incomplete.
When writing, you’ve got to be absolutely open, let your soul go bare, and your inner passion come out to the surface. And the only way you’ll ever be able to do that is by not caring what the world will think about what’s on the paper. Not bothering yourself with what your friends, or relatives, or others around you might judge it.

Haven’t written for a while , it scares me what the heart will truly say because writing is letting go & just being ourselves . Perhaps soon. Thanks for the inspiration
I’ve never really thought too deeply about the process of writing other than I have a start, a loose middle and and end point. I usually haven’t a clue what happens inbetween or what new characters will walk into the story. I kind of need that unknown sense to it as, if I know what’s going to happen, I get bored and never finish anything 🙈
Just started the literary agent submission process. So hoping for the best.
Best of luck with your work 🙂
You are spot on with this post, Asha! I have often encountered this problem and I need to tell myself to put all those thoughts on to the page.
