i put my pen to paper
to write a tale
of obsession
of lust
of admiration
of deliberate attempts
rushed and hushed
of chances grabbed
and opportunities lost
of everything
that made you
trace back to me
that made you
hold me
each time I fell for you
you won’t be able to stop
because I’ll never
give you a reason to
because I’ll be
the sunshine
that will exorcise
your demons
I’ll be the lullaby
that will put you to sleep
finally
