Love – It Was Never Meant for Me is a personal story of multiple heartbreaks that made the person I am today. It’s about love, loss, and resilience and what I learned in between. But of all the hurt, it was two types of love that never abandoned me — my mother’s love, and my son’s love. They were what kept me on track when everything else went to hell. Everyone loves, one way or another. I thought I would share my journey because a lot of people experience heartbreak but don’t always discuss it. It is not just a romance—this book is about the strength that you find in love when it hurts.

My own life experiences inspired this book. After half a dozen heartbreaks, I realized that love isn’t just about happy endings—it’s about growth, resilience, and the people who truly stand by you. The love of my mother and my son gave me the strength to share my journey. I didn’t need research—this story comes straight from my heart. It’s based on real emotions, memories, and lessons learned over the years.

The hardest part was reliving the emotions—heartbreak, pain, and moments of deep regret. Putting those feelings into words wasn’t easy. I reminded myself why I was writing this—to heal, to reflect, and to show that love, in any form, is never wasted.

Yes, I Too Had a Love Story by Ravinder Singh had a deep impact on me. Its simplicity and raw emotions resonated with my own experiences. Another inspiration was the love story of M.S. Dhoni, as shown in his biopic. His journey of love, loss, and resilience reminded me that even in heartbreak, life moves forward, and love finds new meanings.

Editing helped refine my story, making it more impactful and engaging. Notion Press played a key role in polishing the manuscript while keeping the emotions intact. When the story felt complete and every word resonated with my journey, I knew it was ready. With Notion Press handling the final edits, I was confident it was time to share it with the world.

Yes! I’m working on a fun, lighthearted story titled ‘Chai, Sutta, and Dosti.’ It’s about three childhood friends from Himachal Pradesh, India who stick together through thick and thin, navigating life, love, and the chaos that comes with growing up. It’s a mix of humor, friendship, and nostalgia. I also have more stories in mind—each inspired by real emotions and experiences. Stay tuned!

I believe my readers are my soul. To connect with them, I actively engage on social media, especially Instagram. Short reels, engaging posts, and live sessions help me reach a wider audience. Since no media or traditional publisher easily supports a debut novelist, I rely on word of mouth to spread my story. I also collaborate with book communities, digital platforms, and book influencers who help ensure that my story reaches my readers.

Balancing writing with work and family isn’t easy, but passion keeps me going. I write late at night when the world is quiet. My work keeps me grounded, and my family—especially my son and my maa—gives me the strength to keep chasing my dreams. Writing isn’t just a task for me; it’s an escape, a way to pour my heart out while managing everything else in life.

I want my readers to feel that they are not alone in their heartbreaks. Love doesn’t always have a happy ending, but it always teaches us something. Even when people leave, love never truly disappears—it stays in memories, in lessons, and in the ones who truly care, like family. No matter how many times life breaks you, you can always find the strength to heal and love again. Last but not the least, never give up on love and never stop believing in the same.

I am a debut novelist, still waiting for people to accept me and share their precious feedback—whether they love my book or hate it. But one thing I truly believe is this: write from your heart. Even if your audience doesn’t connect with it the way you hoped, that’s okay. At the end of the day, your writing should be an honest reflection of what your heart speaks. Expectations may differ, but staying true to your story is what truly matters.
