at every corner
of every street
there are leftovers
of sweet memories
I reach out
scoop some
in my palms
they slip from
between my fingers
stare at me long
a quick walk down
the lane left behind
rolling happily
in the sands of time
soon winds of past
blow them all away
I run after them
like a child at play
